Achondrogenesis is a rare genetic disorder characterized by severe underdevelopment of the skeleton and bones, resulting in extremely short stature and skeletal abnormalities that are typically incompatible with life. It is inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern and is usually diagnosed prenatally or at birth.
