Cysticercosis in Mexico

Cysticercosis is a parasitic infection caused by the larval stage of the tapeworm Taenia solium, which forms cysts in body tissues including the brain, muscles, and subcutaneous tissues. The condition is acquired by ingesting food or water contaminated with tapeworm eggs and can cause serious neurological complications.
