Lingual or labial frenectomy is a surgical procedure that removes or modifies the lingual frenum (under the tongue) or labial frenum (between the upper lip and gum) to increase mobility or correct functional limitations. This procedure is commonly performed to treat tongue-tie or lip-tie conditions that may affect feeding, speech, or dental development.
