Hi, does that person have a Mexican residency?
Nope . US.
I have Cigna and ditto.
I have Cigna what are peoples experiences with it
Haven't had to use it (thankfully...)
I actually work with/for VUMI as an agent and am so glad to hear you’ve got a solid experience. The VUMI Expat plans are some of the highest quality/network, lowest cost that I’ve seen and use their plans for my own coverage!!
I second Vumi! Reyna is extremely nice and helpful getting you setup and answering any questions
i have cigna, mine also works in the US with a deductible. I have been satisfied, they have covered almost everything at 80% or higher. I think it depends a lot on your individual plan though
Reyna now works on the back end mostly and I took on that agent sales roll but she’s definitely an amazing resource and has taught me very much!
Mostly what I’ve heard is that they’re easy with coverage and reimbursement but can be steeply expensive especially when considering US coverage so not a great cost sensitive option. Does that match your experience?
I have cigna through my work so its subsidized by them so the cost is not prohibitive. US coverage isnt standard and the deductible is high but i almost never get my care in the US anyway so it hasnt affected me. My plan covers 100% of drs visits, vaccines, surgery, overnight hospital visits and 80% medicines, bloodwork, glasses, dental care. I had a c section and 6 day hospital stay when i gave birth and they covereed it 100%. They do sometimes ask for additional drs notes and paperwork which can be annoying but not too hard to get. I think the Cost and coverage depends a lot on your plan and if you purchase individually ive heard it can be quite expensive.
That’s definitely a really nice perk!! The paperwork piece I think just comes with the territory of insurance 😅😅
